- The objectives of the market study are :(i) To identify and assess the potential and actual demand for greenmortgages among lower and lower middle-income groups (affordable segment), witha focus on self-built houses. (ii) To assess the readiness of the green housing supply eco-system, i.e., completevalue chain of supply of green construction materials.(iii) To assess the supply of green housing units - coveringbuilders/developers and creating a database of green housing projects in thelocation; compare the green units vis a vis regular unit in terms ofavailability and price.(iv) Based on the assessment undertaken, define the business case and valueproposition for the FI to finance green self-built and developer-built homes.
