- Expression of Interest are invited for Firm Recruitment for Environmental Consultancy. The Textile & Apparel Sector valued at USD 28 bn of exports in 2019 is the core of the Bangladesh economy. The challenge to spur future growth lies in increasing the competitiveness of the entire value chain through enhanced sustainability,diversification & access to finance. To address these issues, IFC, with support from the Danish & the Netherlands Government, leading apparel brands & BGMEA have launched the PaCT II that aims to deepen Cleaner Production interventions & enhance competitiveness of the sector across the entire value chain of the TA sector of Bangladesh. This assignment includes developing an analytical paper on demand for green asset needing financing, awareness of green-asset economics, green financing market potential for Financial Institutions in Bangladesh & developing of a strategy and roadmap for low carbon emission, and policy reform to encourage adoption of climate smart technologies (water, RE, EE technologies) in the RMG and its backward linkage sectors. The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
