Transport Connectivity Improvement Preparatory Facility - SVC-P3 Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study, Detailed Design and other Preparatory Study on Dhaka-Chattogram National Highway (50333-001) Approval Date: 06-Feb-2020 Deadline of Submitting EOI: 05-Jul-2021 11:59 PM Manila local time Estimated Short-listing Date: 05-Aug-2021 Estimated Commencement Date: 15-Mar-2022 Estimated Commencement Date: 3,590,281 USD Engagement Period: 18 MONTH Objective and Purpose of the Assignment The objective of the consultancy services is to conduct the preparatory studies and prepare the project readiness document so that the investment project on improvement of Dhaka-Chattogram Highway can be taken up at the earliest. The scope of the assignment includes preparing feasibility study, detailed designs, social and environmental safeguard, tendering support, and intelligent transport system (ITS) & optical fiber cable (OFC) system development of the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway (N1) of 231 km length. The consultants will also provide supports to the procurement of civil works upon the government-s request and provide supports to ADB missions. The road must have the design provision of axle load control stations and toll plazas. The road must have the capacity for meeting the demands of traffic for the next few decades and the facility for the road users. Three Bridges (Kanchpur, Meghna and Gumati) will not be the part of the project scope. But the conceptual design of these three bridges will be considered for the appraisal of the project.
