Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Climate and Disaster Resilient Urban Development in Bangladesh. Publication Date: 23-Jan-2023 Expression of Interest Deadline: 06-Feb-2023 Climate change poses considerable risks and is a critical constraint to inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Bangladesh is highly susceptible to climate risks. Extreme events, such as severe flooding, sea level rise, climate change related warming, have put basic services and infrastructure under threat. Climate damages related to infrastructure and economic sectors, in turn, strain public budgets and reduce the attractiveness for private investors. The objective of the proposed activity is to provide support for mainstreaming disaster and climate resilience into Bangladeshs urban development paradigm and provide technical support to the implementation of preparedness actions under the LGCRRP. The assignment will consist of the following tasks: 1. Baseline assessment and global best practice, 2. Mapping and preparation of LCDPP guidelines, 3. Develop DCAT, 4. Backstopping to 341 ULGs for LCDPP preparation and utilization of DCAT, and 5. Training and Knowledge transfer.
